Privacy

• Your Google account basics — name, email address, and profile photo — when you sign in with Google. That's the only sign-in method; we never see your password.
• What you do in the app — events you create, RSVPs, waitlist positions, and comments you post.
• A push subscription for your browser or installed app, only if you turn notifications on.
• Your IP address, briefly — held in memory for rate limiting (protecting the site from abuse), not stored.
• Anonymous usage analytics via Vercel Analytics — page views and device type, without cookies or personal identifiers.

• Your display name and profile photo are visible to other users on events you join, host, or comment on — including a publicly visible "not going" status if you give up a spot.
• Your email address is hidden from other attendees. Only the hosts of an event you're on (and the site admin) can see it, so they can manage their attendee list.
• We share nothing with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.

Notifications are strictly opt-in. If you enable them, we send event reminders and RSVP-opening alerts through your browser's push service (Apple, Google, or Mozilla, depending on your device). You can turn them off any time in Settings, and we delete the subscription.

Gatherly runs on Vercel, with data stored in a Neon Postgres database and event images in Vercel Blob storage, hosted in the United States. Sign-in uses a single session cookie; we set no tracking cookies.

• Events, RSVPs, and comments are deleted automatically two weeks after an event ends.
• Your account (name, email, photo) is kept while you use Gatherly. Want it gone? Ask, and we'll delete it.
