Equal shot seating
When seats are scarce, a fair draw decides who gets in instead of who taps first. Everyone in the draw has identical odds, and results land on the event page at a set time. Opt in on the series page; draw early any time with Draw now. How it works
The draw keeps its receipts
After a draw you see exactly what it did: how many entrants got seats and how many were queued, counted at draw time so later seat changes never rewrite the numbers. Waitlisted entrants see their honest place in line too.

Bring the whole crew
Guests aren't just +1 anymore: set how many each attendee can bring (1-10) on the create form, the edit form, or the series page. Perfect for birthday parties and family dinners. How it works

For hosts
Private guest lists
Hide attendee names on any event: other attendees' names show up blurred out, hosts always see the real list. Flip it from the kebab menu above the attendee lists, under Advanced options on the create form, or for a whole series on the series page. How it works

No-shows, your call
Mark no-show or Excuse from any confirmed person's row menu, or mark everyone unticked in one tap. Strikes only when you say so. How it works
Ticket swap
New host tool: attendees hand their seat to a friend with a QR code, you see who took over. How it works
You decide when joining closes
Per series: at start (default), a set time before, or never. Next to "When do RSVPs open?". How it works
Check-in by QR code
Show a door code and attendees check themselves in, or scan their tickets. Your list updates on its own. How it works

The guide
Every feature from both sides, with pictures. Also "What you can do here" on each event, and Snowy can answer "how do I" questions. Open the guide.
Hand your spot to a friend
Can't go? Tap Hand off my spot and let them scan the code. They take your exact seat. How it works
Can't make it? Say so, right up to the end
I can't make it and Leave waitlist work until the event is over. Your seat goes to the next in line. How it works
Scan in at the door
Tap Scan door code on the event page and point your phone at the host's QR. How it works

Chip in for your crew's gear
Hosts can now set up a fund on their series, like new nets or a fresh board game, with a goal and a progress bar. Attendees chip in with a couple of taps and Venmo opens ready to go. Everyone who contributes gets their name on the thank-you list for as long as the series runs. Hosts, flip on the Fund an item tool to try it.

Snowy learned some new tricks (public beta)
Snowy can now help you set events up and answer questions about your activities. Just tell it what you have in mind, like "trivia night every Tuesday at 7, room for 20", and watch the create form fill itself in, ready for your ok. Tap the little penguin at the bottom of your screen to say hi. It's a public beta, so if Snowy waddles the wrong way, let us know!

Bring a +1
Hosts can now let attendees bring one guest. When an event takes +1s, you'll see a Bring a +1 button once you're confirmed. Your guest gets a real seat, and you can email them the details in one tap. Hosts flip it on per event; it's off unless they do.

Your events lead the page
Events you host now sit in their own Hosting section at the top of the home screen, ahead of the main feed.
Meet Snowy
Snowy picked up 15 hobbies: board games, hiking, cooking, painting, cricket and more. Hosts pick one and it shows on the event banner and invitation emails.
For hosts
Invitations worth opening
Invite emails got a full redesign: bright Gatherly colors, the event details up front, and a big Grab-your-spot button. Pick a Snowy or an emoji for the header with a live preview, or keep it clean with none. Each person gets the invitation email once, and invitees already on the app get a push too.
Send reminders to your attendees
The Notifications tool is live: up to 3 messages per event to everyone who RSVPd, sent now or scheduled (like 1 day before start). Find it on your event pages.
Moving over from Meetup? One paste.
Paste any public Meetup event link on the create page and everything fills itself in: title, full description, date, venue with the map pin, even a weekly schedule and the photo. Review, create, done.
Reliability, refined
Strike settings now live on your series page, where they belong. Choose how long strikes last (1 to 6 months), see everyone who holds strikes with you, and forgive anyone with one tap.
Ask how it went
The new Surveys tool lets you ask up to 3 questions per event: Yes/No, a 0-10 scale, or free text. One send reaches everyone by push and email, and answers come back anonymous, so you get the honest version.
No photo? No problem
Events without a photo can show your picked icon centered on the color banner. Upload a photo any time and it takes over.

Anyone can host private events
You no longer need a host account to bring people together. Create an Unlisted event (anyone with the link can join) or a Private one (guest list only) right from the + button. Public listing still needs a host account.
Share with a QR code
The Share button now opens a QR code. Meet someone at the park, let them scan it with their camera app, and they are in. No emails, no typing.
Invites front and center
Events you are invited to now appear at the top of your home screen with a countdown, so an invitation never gets lost. Private events you have joined show in your feed too, marked with a lock.
Events without a cap
Hosts can now leave capacity unlimited. Look for the rainbow bar: it means there is room for everyone.
A simpler way to create events
The event form got a big cleanup: capacity and end time are optional, the repeat schedule sits next to the date, and the extras are tucked into Advanced options.
Distance at a glance
Turn on location and every event card shows how far away it is, right in the corner of the photo.
For hosts
Reliability strikes
Tired of no-shows? Turn on the Reliability tool. People who skip or cancel late earn strikes, and you choose what happens at the limit: waitlist-only RSVPs or a delayed RSVP window. Showing up wins strikes back. Settings are per series.
Invite or confirm, your call
Adding someone to a private event can now put them on the guest list as invited (they claim their own spot) instead of instantly confirming them, with an optional email carrying the private link.
Attendance records on request
Curious whether someone shows up? Open their row menu and tap Show attendance record. It is visible only to you, only when you ask.
Your track record sells the event
Once a series has run a few times, its events show newcomers the proof: how many gatherings you have hosted and the usual turnout.
Quality of life
Duplicate an event and your co-hosts and guest list come along. Manage events from the menu next to the title. Saving edits now confirms with a clear "Changes saved". Past events with attendees are protected history and can no longer be deleted.
